Our Supported Charities for 2018
In order to make sure the work we do has a real difference, we get our staff to vote on two supported charities for the year – one local and one national.
By concentrating our support on two specific causes we feel that our fundraising efforts can have a greater impact on the communities our customers and staff live and work in. If you would like either your cause or one of your own supported causes to be considered in 2017, please email email@example.com with your details.
We also have our international charity, which we have continued to support for the past 10 years.
Contact the Elderly
Contact the Elderly helps to relieve the loneliness of people aged 75 and over, by organising monthly Sunday afternoon tea parties across the country, which are run by volunteers.
The charity has been running since 1965, when they held their very first tea party, and have supported over 100,000 elderly people since.
Poppy Fields Appeal
Poppy Fields Appeal began after Brian’s eldest daughter, Poppy, was diagnosed with a brain tumour at just 14 months old in 2004, and has been fighting it ever since.
All of the funds raised through Poppy Fields, is donated to Brain Tumour Research at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, where Poppy has received her much needed care.
Poppy Fields take part in a number of events to raise donations, and Stone are happy to support the fantastic work made by the Poppy Fields team.
IT Schools Africa
Stone have been supporting IT Schools Africa, a charitable organisation who are transforming lives through access to e-Learning, for almost 10 years now.
By recycling your redundant IT hardware through us you too are supporting this exceptionally deserving charity which is making a real difference for underprivileged children in Africa. To reflect this we can issue Certificates of Appreciation and you can display these with pride as recognition of the role you’ve played in the project.
